Kawasaki, that big Japanese company known for awesome bikes, has just launched the 2026 version of their Ninja 1100SX here in India. This bike is perfect for people who love the thrill of a sports bike but also want something comfortable for long rides on the highway. It’s like a mix of speed and relaxation. This year, they updated the engine a bit to make it work with the new fuel rules, like it’s now okay with E20 petrol, which has 20% ethanol mixed in.
The New Color That Makes It Stand Out
The coolest change in this 2026 model is the color. They ditched the old black and green combo and went for something called Metallic Brilliant Golden Black with some Metallic Carbon Gray parts. It looks way more fancy and premium now, kinda classy actually. The overall design is still the same muscular Ninja style that everyone loves, with sharp lines and that aggressive look.
What’s Under the Hood – The Engine Details
The bike has a big 1,099cc engine, it’s liquid-cooled and has four cylinders in a row. It puts out around 136 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, which is plenty for quick acceleration. With the updates, it’s tuned better for mid-range power, so overtaking trucks on the highway feels easier and smoother. And like I said, it’s now E20 compliant, so no worries about the new fuel standards.
Cool Tech Features Inside
There are some high-tech stuff that make riding fun and safe. There’s a 4.3-inch color TFT screen that you can connect to your phone via Bluetooth. It has a 6-axis IMU which helps with things like cornering ABS – that means the brakes work better when you’re leaning in turns – and traction control to stop the wheel from spinning too much.
You also get a bi-directional quickshifter, so you can change gears up or down without clutching, which is super smooth. There are four riding modes: Sport for fast fun, Road for normal riding, Rain for slippery roads, and a Rider mode that you can customize yourself. Oh, and it has cruise control too for long trips.
No Big Changes to the Parts and Suspension
They didn’t change much on the hardware side. It still has those fully adjustable Showa upside-down forks in the front and a monoshock at the back. Brakes are Tokico discs with dual-channel ABS for safety. The fuel tank is huge at 19 liters, so you don’t have to stop for petrol every few hours on long journeys, which is great.
Price and When You Can Get It
The price is ₹14.42 lakh ex-showroom, same as before actually. Deliveries should start soon, probably from late December or early January at Kawasaki showrooms all over India. In the market, it competes with bikes like the Suzuki Hayabusa or Triumph Tiger models, but this one feels like a good value for a sport tourer with all these features.
Overall, if you’re into powerful bikes that are comfy for touring, this new Ninja 1100SX seems pretty exciting. The new gold-black color definitely makes it look more special!
